Spent most of the evening at the York Fair, especially the The World of Wonders Sideshow and Jamie Allen’s amazing Redwood Log House, the last of its type traveling the USofA. The Fair was terrible if you are over 35 or have never been there 10 years prior. There were 6 chickens and 2 ducks!!!! All the exhibits in horticulture hall and old main shrunk in size by 50%. Ha-and not that I care but I noticed-no Voter registration/support tents at the exhibit halls. The big Gyro tent-gone. The animal exhibits -sad-ever since the animal barns were torn down things seem to have slowly vanished-mostly, the agricultural heritage the fair should be strongly maintaining. Guess I’m old school when it comes to fair but the freak show seems to have migrated, welcome commercialism.
