If you showed last night to DC’s Palace of Wonders (soon to become the Red Palace), many thanks; you’re the greatest audience in the world. For those who performed, it’s pure joy to trod the boards with ya. Reiterating to ALL: Whatever happens at the new Red Palace – good or bad – don’t just walk away: Tell everyone. Loudly. Everywhere. ESPECIALLY the owners/managers. It’s YOUR Palace. Don’t let anybody forget it.

No, the "Palace" will still be there after tonight… as The Red Palace (with TWICE the performance space), but you miss tonight’s biggie, ya miss makin’ history. You have been warned.

We don’t normally plug specific shows (ok, we do sometimes, but we try not to show any more favoritism than possible), but a) the Redwood Loghouse IS showing at the VA State Fair in Richmond (yes, you must go; AND take in all the shows) and b) who DOESN’T like this show? Best ding show ever on any midway, as one showman told me once: pure family entertainment AND wonderfully educational. (Last one on the road, too, far’s we know.)

And FYI, Tim Deremer’s shows at the VA State Fair this year include his big 10-in-1 (with its sweet Tim Frank bannerline), a girl-to-gorilla show and a mermaid illusion (both pretty rare nowadays, rarer even than 10-in-1s). AND there’s Jamie Allen’s Redwood Log House, pig races, a free magic show and a circus. We can say that ‘cuz we been. You?
